“What do you plan on doing once you are done with Peace Corps? Its apparent that you are making a tremendous impact in Guatemala & for your self! (PS +100 lbs is legendary!)”

Thanks so much for asking, but I have no idea!

Well okay that’s not completely true.

To be honest I’ve changed my dream job so many times I can barely count them all.

All my life I wanted to be a veterinarian and while that would still be amazing, I don’t see myself being entirely happy in that profession. I worked at a vet’s office for almost five years and I couldn’t imagine myself there a minute longer. Although, it was most definitely the people (um, er boss) that made things unbearable. But, anywho that’s besides the point.

Nowadays I’ve been thinking about possibly becoming a nutritionist/dietician and helping others. But, then again I would love to continue working with non-profit organizations or continuing to work with Peace Corps. So, at this point I’m still up in the air about my future.

  • Do I go back to school and finish vet school requirements in hopes of getting in?
  • Do I look into how I can get my masters in possibly Public Health and continue to work with NGOs?
  • Do I look into a career with PC?
  • Do I work on becoming a registered dietician and try to help those who need my help?
  • OR do I try something completely random and take advantage of my preferential federal hiring? CIA maybe? lol.

So ask me again in a year. Maybe I’ll have my head on straight by then. :)
