Project 129 is officially in session!
In order see 129 on that scale below me I’ve enacted the following rules to abide by.
I will vow to…
Run at least four days a week - with a distance run every weekend
Strength train twice a week minimum
Eat unlimited fruits and veggies
Everything else stays within 1300- 1500 calories
Drink at least 70 ounces of water a day
Cross train at least once a week
Let’s do this.
Goals for February
Realistically I’d like to be under 135 lbs by the end of the month. Which means losing about two pounds and keeping them off!
Finish my first half marathon in under 2:30…so effing scary you have no idea!
Strength train
Have an amazing non-craptastic Valentine’s day.
Run a PR mile - Current PR = 8:28 (I haven’t focused on doing that in a while)
Cross off everything on...

Goals for January: Updated
I started January 1st weighing in at 138 and I’m now weighing in at 136.9. I’m definitely in the 130s now, but I’ve seen as low as 135 and up to 139. I’m yo-yoing hardcore. Which is only natural…
Hit my 100lbs lost! (which means losing about two ish more pounds) FUCK YES.
Lose at least 3 to 4 lbs this month. Ideally I’d like to be 135 or less, but that might be a...

What’s that you ask? Oh nothing, just my SUB HOUR 10K.
I’m doing the PR dance and it goes a little something like this…
In other more frightening, extremely exciting and semi-nauseating news: only 6 days until my half marathon!

Spinach Mango Melon Salad
In the mood for a delicious summer salad with lots of yummy iron and protein? I dare you to try this! I know it sounds all over the place and funky, but it’s quite delish and oh so filling. The original recipe calls for chicken - which you’re more than welcome to do. But, being the veggie girl that I am I’m all about the garbanzo beans for my protein in this salad.
This will...

100 lb tattoo
So…I finally did it!
I knew what I wanted & where I wanted it. So I just got it done.
The quote I decided on is vincit qui se vincit.
Which means he conquers who conquers himself.
To me this tattoo embodies everything that I’ve worked for and that I am still working on.
It’s about overcoming your weaknesses and flaws before being able to succeed in life. The one who can...

The most horrible 9.5 miles of my life.
My run tonight was satisfying because I beat my PR distance, but horrendous because of how it made me feel.
The first 8 were finished in 1:19:08, which is awesome because I shaved off time from my 8 miler last Sunday. But the last 1.5 miles were devastatingly painful.
Considering I finished 9.5 miles in 1:36:46, that means it took me 17:38 to finish that last 1.5 miles. That’s an 11:45...

A dip in the jacuzzi after my 8 mile run.
It was utter perfection.
Yet it scared the shit out of me.
Here’s the thing about me:
Water and I don’t mix. We don’t get along mainly because I am usually the last person you’ll catch in a bathing suit. In fact, last year during my weight loss I went in the water once. That was it. The year before that? Not a once. Zip. Zilch. Nada.
Then over our Christmas vacation to...

PR tiiiiime
Tonight I ran 8 miles.
8 FREAKING MILES PEOPLE.
Non-stop.

Want proof?
Wait for it…
Wait for it…
BAM.
There’s your proof.
Oh AND (yes there is an and) my 10K time was 1:00:15. A MERE 16 SECONDS AWAY FROM BEING UNDER AN HOUR. But, still an amazing PR.
After my 8 miles my legs were shaky and when I got to the car I was light headed. It’s amazing how far I...

On February 1st, 2010 I started a journey of epic proportions. Never did I think I would be successful, but I knew I had to try.
I started my weight loss journey at a staggering 236.5 lbs.
This morning I weighed in at 136.3 lbs.
That’s right folks.
I have officially lost 100.2 lbs.
I’ve fought through 100 lbs of hard work, determination, miles run, sweat, tears, and a lot of...
I had a really shitty day today...
So, being the the emotional eater that I am (however hard I try not to be) I reached for a sugar free chocolate chip cookie before heading back to work from lunch.
Nothing that would have broken the calorie bank or put me into a sugar coma, but still an emotional outlet.
As I’m walking to my car and about to take a bite I drop the damn cookie.
Oh was I pissed.
Not only was I having a...

+1.0 lbs this week
Oh hello there mother nature’s fury right on time per usual! You never fail to disappoint me. Now I know you’re not entirely to blame for my one pound gain. Wait who am I kidding? YES YOU ARE YOU WHORE. :)
But aaaanyways. Lately, throughout the day I’ve been hungrier than normal. I feel as if I snack constantly and...
Hi, you can call me Captain Failure
I even went to bed at a decent hour and I woke up at 6:20 with three different alarms blaring.
It’s like my body is programmed to ignore all noises before 6:30. So now I just need to re-train myself to wake up at the ungodly hour of 5am to 5:30am so that I start my days off better.
So I will definitely be trying again…& again….& again & again & again until I can...
My crazy ass self
just had the notion to wake her sorry ass up at 5am to head to the gym before she starts work at 7am.
I’ve never EVER been an early workout person, but it’s something I’d really like to try to incorporate into my life. I think I’d feel much more accomplished and renewed in the mornings. Plus I need the endorphins to get through my work days.
Now any of you long term...

cucumber (1/4 cucumber)
Trader Joe’s Italian sausage-less sausage

tinaoffandrunning:
“You pretended the snooze button didn’t exist. You dragged your butt out of bed while others slept. While others ate their pancakes, you had a feast of protein, glucose and electrolytes. You double-knotted. You left the porch light on and locked the door behind you. You ran. 5ks, 10ks, 26.2 miles. Some days more, some days less. You rewarded a long run with a short run....

New distance PR
Tonight I ran 6.5 miles non-stop in 1:04:30.
My 10K time was also a stellar PR at 1:01:30.
Next stop under 1 hour! I know I can do it.
BUT, (& this may be far too much TMI) my GI tract is enacting its revenge. I’ve never really dealt with stomach issues after running. It sucks.

Two weeks ago = 140.0

-1.3 lbs in two weeks.
While I was on vacation and in fact stuffing my belly full of delicious holiday food. But alas the holidays are over and I did not let the holidays rule my waist line!
Today my first back to work and I’m PRAYING that all of the holiday junk we received from clients is finally gone. I don’t think I can handle walking...

Wow,
I came back from my New Years fiesta in the desert where I was incommunicado with the outside world to find that I had 81 new followers since Thursday night.
Undoubtedly 80% or more of you are new year’s resoulution fitblrs, which is amazing and I’m so damn happy to welcome you to the family with open arms.
But…

A very happy belated new years!
Last night was the first night I’ve spent in my own bed in a week and by golly did I miss it!
After Christmas, New Years, a week long vacation, and all I managed to weigh in at a cool 138 this morning. Which makes me oh so freaking happy.
Now to start off my Monday (and 2011) with a bang I’m going for a run with my new lovely garmin forerunner.
