It's official! Half Marathon in 43 days!

I ran a marathon this week.
That’s right folks, after tonight’s 5k (in 29:50 mind you), I can officially say that since Sunday I’ve run 26.2 miles.
I can’t even begin to imagine doing it all in one day. The farthest I ran this week was 6.2 miles in one day. I really need to up my distance running and work on pacing myself.
But come on how awesome is it that I can say I ran a marathon this week?

I was having one of those crap-tastic days.
You know when nothing seems to go right. When everyone is pissing you off. When you have to clean up after other people’s messes. When you find yourself eating like shit for no good reason. When the people who you rely on fall through.

Start Measurements (2/22/2010):
Waist = 39in
Chest = 40in
Hips = 53in
Neck = 14.5in
Current Measurements as of 12/16/10:
Waist = 28.5in
Chest = 31.5in
Hips = 35.5in
Neck = 11.8in
Total inches lost from those four areas =
10.5 inches from my waist + 8.5 inches from my chest + 17.5 inches from my hips + 2.7 inches from my neck

You have no idea the shriek of joy I let out when I saw that I was on the threshold of officially being in the 130s. Albeit I’m barely teetering into the 130s. It does mean I’m on my way there!

Make Room for Santa 10K
After a few late starts and rushed beginnings I have officially completed my second 10K.
My bestie and I kept the same pace the entire time. We started and finished together which was great so we could push each other. Then we got to go back and cheer my mom at the finish line. :)

So I’ve spent the entire morning in urgent care due to an extremely painful swelling in my ear.
Now with some fantastic pain meds and lots of antibiotics I’m trudging off to work.

When random experimenting turns to GOLD
Tonight I made spaghetti squash.
My sauce was a tomato basil pasta sauce from Sun Harvest at a bee-yoo-ti-ful 50 calories per 1/2 cup.
My veggies were zucchini, yellow squash, and mushroom.

When I can't run outside
I run on the treadmill.
Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of people telling me I should run on incline to make it more like running outside.
Last night, however, I did a 5k on incline 2 and low and behold KNEE PAIN.

During my internship today
I got to sit in with this amazing Dietician/Nutritionist while she followed up on a patient.
Then we got to talking and she is absolutely AH-MAZING.
She’s done 15 full marathons, two iron mans, countless 5ks, 10ks, half marathons, trail runs, mountain bike races AND she runs about 30 to 45 miles a week. She is incredibly fit and I want. to. be. just. like. her.

Goals for November: Updated
I started November 1st weighing in at 144.3 lbs. This morning I weighed in at 143.5 for a pathetic -0.8 lbs lost for the entire month of November. Really there is no excuse.
